REACH

The REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) Regulation was formally adopted in December 2006 and will enter into force on 1 June 2007.

The text of the Regulation was published on 30 December 2006 in the Official Journal of the European Union L 396.

The Regulation aims to protect health and environment through better identifying the properties of chemical substances.
In relation to this the Regulation gives greater responsibility to industry to manage the risks from chemicals and to provide safety information on the substances. Therefore our industry is dealing with many changes as a part of the implementation of REACH.
