National Associations FORUM

Following agreement by the FEICA General Assembly to reorganise the Association, in November 2006 the Executive Board decided decided to create two new Forums: the National Association Forum (NAM Forum) and the Direct Company Member Forum (DCM Forum).

The first National Association (NAM) Forum was held on 9th May 2007 and was followed a few months later by the Direct Company Members (DCM) Forum.

NAM Forum - Terms of Reference

The NAM Forum is the communication platform for the NAM Presidents and Secretaries. Presidents and Secretaries hold both separate and combined meetings, when required, with the FEICA Secretariat in attendance to provide support.  Whereas the President’s meetings concentrate on policy issues, the Secretary’s meetings focus upon implementation.

The Terms of Reference of the NAM Forum include:

  1. To nominate candidates to the General Assembly for election as representatives to the Executive Board, European Technical Board and European Business Board as determined by the Constitution and byelaws.
  2. To direct the NAM representatives serving on the Executive Board, European Technical Board and European Business Board to ensure they represent the wishes of the NAs.
  3. To assist FEICA in understanding the effects of technical and/or legal issues arising at the National level that have implications across Europe.
  4. To report on any national variations in the implementation of EU Directives or Regulations to ensure consistency throughout the member states.
  5. Agree best communication practice amongst NAMs.
